Ordering food
At YUST, many students like ordering food instead of eating at the cafeteria. I know there are some reasons. Unlike other universities in China, our school’s cafeteria only has one menu for each meal. The students can’t choose what they want to eat. The only meal they can eat is the food provided by the cafeteria. Most of the food is Korean food. Many Han Chinese can’t adapt it. Because of these, there are so many students choosing to order food.
Is it wise to order food instead of eating at the cafeteria? My answer is no. Firstly, most of the college students are not financially independent. We spend our parents’ money. Ordering food is a little expensive for us. Compared with restaurants, our cafeteria is much cheaper. 4 Yuan for one meal and always has 3 different dishes and one kind of soup. When order food, I have never found a dish which is less than 4 Yuan.
Secondly, ordering food can make the dormitories full of strange smell and dirty. Most of the students eat the ordering food in dormitories. One person eats, but other roommates are feeling uncomfortable. The desk they use to eat dinner is spitted by the soup. When someone wants to do homework at the desk, their homework will be dirty. Then they throw the rubbish in the bathroom, making the bathroom dirty and hard to clean up.
Thirdly, also the most important, is the food we order may be not clean. Many students have a pain in stomach after they eat ordering food. Their oil and rice sometimes has a problem. Some of the food we order is fried and even junk food. It is no use to our health; on the contrary, it has a negative effect. We often can hear of some pieces of news about people get food poisoning because of eating food in a restaurant or order a meal. Although some restaurants are clean and safe, there are many ones are not clean. We can’t see how they cook food, so we are not sure that the food is safe. It is easy to be fatter to eat too much ordering food. If you are really hungry, you can eat some fruit instead of ordering food. It is good for our health and we can’t be fatter no matter how much fruit we eat.
